The home of the mothers, La Casa de las Madres, will send a card with a special inscription acknowledging that your gift, like hers, will help another find refuge, safety and strength.

Pathways to Discovery: Transforming Women's Lives

An enormous thank you to all of La Casa's new and old friends helping to make our second annual fundraiser a terrific success! On Thursday, October 2nd more than 350 community members mingled at Allsteel, bidding, chatting and noshing to support La Casa's continuum of life changing services.

Together we make an enormous difference! A special thank you to Allsteel for the amazing space, Paula LeDuc Fine Catering for the remarkable eats and drinks, Keeler Kommunications for designing event communications, TheAList.org for helping to spread the word and capture the evening, DJ ShOOey of The Deep End and DJ Shissla of House of Lotus for creating a playful ambiance, Rebecca Handler for the personality, poise and energy of a fantastic emcee, and La Pinta for introducing its delectable tequila.

Tiny Tickets for a Big Cause

We all have them. At least those of us who ride BART do. Those pesky little change amounts left on those white and blue striped tickets. Not enough to get you home after work or to the city for shopping, but enough for you to hold on to them. You're in a hurry, you don't have time to add money to them, what to do? How about donating them to a good cause? Donate those "Tiny Tickets" to La Casa de las Madres! Do not throw them away.

Mission

The mission of La Casa de las Madres is to respond to calls for help from domestic violence victims, of all ages, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We give survivors the tools to transform their lives. We seek to prevent future violence by educating the community and by redefining public perceptions about domestic violence.
